This is the old pinball machine from the Dover Taxi Garage down at Hudson and Charles street in Greenwich Village. The Dover Garage moved on up to the Bronx. The Dover Rovers have moved on. Their spirits linger on in late night reruns of the tv show "Taxi". After a 12 hour night shift, this pinball machine could always find some players needing to unwind.

I spent a long time carving that lens board out of a piece of Cherry wood that had been lying around. It had been that kind of winter, the days just kind of became one. I can't remember where I got the lens or where it went. The crown Graphic body was a hand me down from another photographer. The 4x5 polaroid back was mine and the Polaroid type55 Positive Negative film was outdated.It was the last box I would ever shoot,develop and print. Digital photography was more than a gleam in the millennium's eye It all came together as the fire in the stove roared. A hand made photo. ............................
